Have you ever had a dream that you could replace your old-school 90's monitoring platform with Splunk to benefit all its super powers in the observability field? Here is the where the story begins. Simple Network Management Protocol is there since a long time and will outlive us all (cf talk .conf21 ITO1393C). Despite all fancy new monitoring agents, no solution is easy to operate at scale within Splunk. To this end, at Hacknowledge, we decided to build our own and propose it to our customers.
