Hej All, The Swedish takeover continues. Part 2: Hands-On Workshop: Let agents run Splunk. Keep the keys. Limited to 12–20 people — laptop recommended. Optional lunch at 12:00 at Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen & Bar...
Hej All,
The Swedish takeover is a two-day affair.
On Tuesday we heard how to let agents run Splunk while you keep the keys. On Wednesday 30th September we’re back at the Cisco Finsbury Circus office (Floor 6) with Daniel Young (Splunk MVP) and the Deslicer team for Part 2 — the practical follow-on workshop: How we allow agents to deploy to production at Deslicer.
This is a hands-on workshop, not another slide deck. You will:
Install and connect the Deslicer Automation Platform
Set up a GitHub repository with the Deslicer CLI
Use agents to identify an issue or onboard data and propose a change through GitHub
Generate a plan showing exactly what will change
Review and approve the change through a human-in-the-loop step
Execute the approved change and validate the result in Splunk
The central idea is simple: agents propose, people approve, and Splunk changes only after explicit human approval.
It’s aimed at Splunk admins, platform engineers and others responsible for production change — particularly at medium-to-large Splunk customers where automation is a priority. Open to User Group attendees, with a particular welcome for customers and Splunk internal teams working this problem for real.
Please bring a laptop if you can. We’ll provide a workshop tenant, so you won’t need your own Splunk environment or credentials.
Spaces are limited. We’re capping attendance at around 12–20 people so it stays genuinely hands-on. Register early if you want a seat.
Afterwards, if you’d like to keep the conversation going, there’s an optional lunch at 12:00 at Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen & Bar — just around the corner from the Cisco office.
