Splunk User Group Leaders use their connections and skills, along with resources provided by the Splunk Community Team, to grow and nurture their local Splunk User Groups. So whether you're a customer or partner, if you can see the benefit of connecting Splunk users, having them learn from each other (and others in the industry), and generally enjoying like-minded company, read on to learn more!
Requirements to Become a Splunk User Group Leader:
Use Splunk, but not in a sales role
Lead, support, and grow their local Splunk Community
Be motivated to make things happen, organizing meetups for your eager community at least 4 times a year
Get excited talking about Splunk and providing a space for others to share and learn all things Splunky!

What Leaders Must Do
Host at least 4 events per year (in-person or hybrid)
Engage with user group members to understand what they'd like to learn and discuss
Source speakers, venues, and solicit ideas for user group meetings
Use the Bevy platform (usergroups.splunk.com) for planning events and checking in attendees
Application will be reviewed and vetted by the Splunk Community Team
Accepted applicants will be instructed to complete a virtual training session
Trained Leaders will be onboarded with continued support from the Splunk Community Team
This is the official application to become a Splunk User Group leader. Please know that your answers do not have to be perfect; we are simply gathering as much information as possible to determine how ready you would be to launch or join the team of your local Splunk User Group.
