Write SPL like a Ninja: a Natural Language Interface for Splunk

Aug 1, 6:00 – 7:00 AM

Canberra Splunk User Group

We will be joined by Dr Alonso Marquez who will present a Natural Language Interface (NLI) that enables junior analysts to build queries at the level of a Splunk expert.

About this event

Have you ever wondered why Splunk is so popular? One key reason is the power of the Splunk Query Language (SPL). However, mastering SPL is far more complex than writing a keyword search.

We will be joined by Dr Alonso Marquez who will present a Natural Language Interface (NLI) that enables junior analysts to build queries at the level of a Splunk expert. Alonso will start with a demo of his flexible natural language interfaces. He'll then use them to generate optimised aggregation and correlation queries for a typical use case. And finally, he'll explain how your team can use this new technology to implement and maintain SPL queries many times faster.

After this session, Alonso is confident that you will walk away with a deeper understanding of NLI for Splunk and how it can help solve your Splunk skills and resources crisis.

Please note that our venue sponsor (AWS Canberra) requires that visitors to their venue be registered. This process will be a lot faster if you preregister for the event before COB Wednesday July 31 - please bring photo ID.
