Have you ever had the need to grant a single user permanent access to a single REST endpoint or capability but cannot afford the risk of giving him the Splunk capability that controls it allows to many capabilities along with the 1 that you need? Come and learn how to do the absolute minimum by leveraging a Splunk token and hand-crafted python/bash.
WE ARE MEETING AT LUNCH THIS TIME AND AT THE NEW VENUE AT UTD!!!
This *is* at UTD but it is *NOT* at the same building as last year, so TAKE NOTE below!
Have you ever had the need to grant a single user permanent access to a single REST endpoint or capability but cannot afford the risk of giving him the Splunk capability that controls it allows to many capabilities along with the 1 that you need? Have you ever had to do something quick and dirty NOW because you cannot wait for an LDAP change to come through? Come and learn how to do the absolute minimum by leveraging a Splunk token and hand-crafted python/bash. After this meeting you will walk away knowing:
1.) How create a token from the GUI.
2.) How to embed that token into a script.
3.) How to leverage this script from SPL in the easiest novel way.
This will be BOTH a virtual event AND a live event @ NEW BUILDING (SP2) in UTD:
3020 Waterview Pkwy, Richardson, TX 75080
It will also have signs for "SP2" on the building/doors.
Once you go into the building, it will be upstairs in the "Texoma" conference room (12.511).
You must show a parking pass on your dashboard or risk being towed:
