First 15 minutes:

Please ensure you have completed your survey. https://forms.gle/spDLGEoF8o718poy6

Opening and introductions. Let's get to know each other a bit. Introductions to fellow members. [name, company, why a user group, what have you learned through COVID-19]

Next 30 minutes:

We will be joined by William "Bill" Von Alt, whom will be providing a discussion & demo on, "Forecasting the Future and Automating the Unknown: Machine Learning Applications for IT Operations in Splunk IT Service Intelligence."

Bill will share the Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) premium solution and dive deep into the out-of-the-box machine learning capabilities including:

-> Discovery of sane bounds for KPI thresholds using adaptive algorithms

-> Automatic anomaly detection

-> Smart event grouping and aggregation

-> Predictive analytics using multi-variate algorithms to determine future service health state (and fix it before it’s a problem!)

Leveraging these machine learning methods and techniques in the context of our complex IT operations service environments will enable you to become super-charge your reporting and response capabilities, and expend more time and resources on the more critical aspects of mission support (or at virtual happy hours!)

Last 15 minutes:

Complete a wrap up and review of survey results, showing a bit more on the background of our participants, and what you are looking to learn more about and share ideas in the coming 5 months.

PS: Please continue to share the invite, so to ensure the Splunk practitioners are aware, so we can network and collaborate together. http://bit.ly/SplunkDE
