We'll be hosting a user group event where we will hear from Magnus Johansson (IKEA) on auto instrumenting a JAVA-based microservice and enabling 100% Observability showing how Splunk core and SignalfX interact.
Richard Morgan (Splunk Wizard) will give insight on how to make your searches look like they came out of a palantir. He will also explain why and how to make turbo-charged searches.

Richard is a data junkie that has developed a serious Splunk habit over the last 6 years and is now recognised as one of the leading experts for both architecture and search. He is also highly skilled with other data systems and has a strong development and mathematics background.Solving technical problems is a lot of fun, but most problems in technology boil down to people problems. Richard's technical skills are coupled with strong communication skills and is highly valued during complex sales and is frequently used to deescalate antagonistic situations as they start to spin out of control.When Richard has a free moment you will find him doing data analytics on Splunk cloud to improve his Splunk skills and knowledge. Always keen to learn new things means that every day is a school day for Richard.Richard recently won Sales Engineer of the year in EMEA in 2018 for winning Splunk's largest deal ever by volume. More recently he won a customer advocacy award by negotiating several accounts out of crisis whilst being a change agent within Splunk. At SKO he was awarded for “moving the needle” thanks to his analysis of Splunk itself and how customers use the product.
