About this event

Description (full)

Detecting fraud has never been easy, and it isn’t getting any easier. Fraudsters are resorting to increasingly sophisticated scams to steal from unsuspecting victims. Data is the primary weapon used in the fight against fraud and financial crimes, but detecting fraudulent behaviour with a single search isn’t sufficient or realistic. Splunk is the ideal solution to meet the needs of fraud teams through its unique ability to correlate indicators of compromise across structured and unstructured data. This session will outline a methodology to develop risk-scored, risk-weighted statistical and machine learning models with Splunk Enterprise to highlight anomalous behaviour across a wide set of data sources and risk indicators to flag the early signs of fraud. The session will include a demo for financial crimes to illustrate how the methodology can be applied.
