Sydney Splunk User Group - making data sing in D minr!

About this event

Welcome to a Splunky 2024!

Our good friends from Dataminr will be in town, and Shimon Modi, VP of Product Managementwill demonstrate how to use Dataminr's Splunk App to Protect Your Critical Assets from Threats You Cannot Detect Within Your Network. You'll hear how Dataminr's AI driven real-time alerts help Security teams respond to external cyber and physical threats targeting your assets, key business partners, supply chain and peers.

Ariane Blanch from Kanoptima will be showing what Splunk is bringing to small, non-technical businesses.

And Chris Moran is going to show us a cool personal project showing how he's farming data to get off-the-grid using Splunk!

As usual, there'll be plenty of drinks & pizza to enjoy!

We'll be hosting this event at the Splunk Office in North Sydney on Tue 27th February 2024, and we would love to see you there.

The event will start at 5pm, and we'll kick off the presentations at 5:45pm.

If you're new to the Splunk User Groups, this is where you can hear from other Splunk users on what they're doing, and meet like-minded people to share war-stories over a slice of pizza and a few drinks. All skill levels welcome!

Please RSVP using the link below, and get ready for the pizza, drinks, and good times!!

COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease, and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact. People can be infected and show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life threatening illness and even death; the risk of illness and death is even greater if you are not vaccinated. Federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies have issued/recommended a number of health and safety guidelines and requirements to reduce transmission.

Please note that it is not possible to completely eliminate the presence of COVID-19. Consequently, even if you are vaccinated, Splunk cannot prevent you from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while utilising Splunk’s premises or attending any in-person Splunk-hosted event. Therefore, if you choose to utilise Splunk’s premises or attend a Splunk-hosted event, you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19, and you knowingly assume that risk. For more COVID-19 information, refer to the WHO, CDC and OSHA.
